Casas Del Rio, Camden

Camden Lutheran Housing Inc. is developing the first phase of Casas Del Rio, a community consisting of a total of twenty-six homes, which will be constructed on two vacant blocks. It involves the new construction of thirteen homes for sale to low- and moderate-income households. To date, we have obtained planning approval, completed the necessary predevelopment work, and secured a commitment of $6 million from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs through the Affordable Housing Trust Fund. The lots are currently owned by the City of Camden and are scheduled for purchase this spring, with construction anticipated to commence in the summer. We project the completion of the project will occur in the summer of 2026, slightly over one year from the start of construction.
